Get a referral from your family doctor

Get tested and reviewed in the same visit
Most testing is done in-office, with results reviewed before you leave.
Leave with a treatment plan

A few things to sort out ahead of time so your visit goes to plan.
Stop antihistamines five days before
If you're coming for skin testing or a challenge, do not take any antihistamines — allergy medicines — for a minimum of five days before your appointment.
Bring what you're being tested for
For a food or medication challenge, be sure to bring the item you're being tested with.
Allow enough time
Appointment lengths vary, and food challenges can take up to three hours. Confirm the length of your appointment with our office.
